ANALISIS KASUS KORUPSI DI DAERAH 2012

Abstract

This study aimed is to describe the pattern of corruption in the region, based on type of crime and the corruption handling during the year 2012. This study uses a qualitative approach on describing qualitatif information of corruption cases. Data on corruption news were mainly obtained from “Kompas” newspaper – print and online edition - published on 2012. News about corruption were analyzed based on the types of corruption such as bribery, embezzlement, mark up, and favoritism, and types of crime. Result of this study indicate that corruption in the region involving governor, mayor, or regents, and members of local parliament. Most corruption cases are misappropriation of public funds, tax revenues, and bribery which are occurred in many provinces. Prosecuting of corruption cases usually punished corruption perpetrators with mild sentence which give no deterrent effect
