PERKEMBANGAN EKONOMI TERAKHIR
Abstract
The growth of Indonesia GDP in the first quarter of 2009 has reached 4.4 percent, an achievement
compared to other countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand which contracted. GDP
also grows to IDR1,300.3 trillion, or 15.4 percent higher compared the that in the same period last
year. From inflation point of view, inflation rate (y-o-y) through March 2009 reached 7.92 percent.
Current account until the fourth quarter of 2008 was on deficit $0,2 billion which in the second
quarter, it was on $1,241 billion. The growth of balance of payment occurred in the first quarter of
2009, experiencing surplus as much as $4 billion and current account was on $1,8 billion caused
by the decline of import. In banking sector, third party fund in the first quarter of 2009 increased to IDR1,801 trillion or grew 1.5 percent. Until May 2009, Indonesian currency exchange rate against dollar has been strong
